Surviving Test Period at FUTMINNA: My Experience + Tips You Need

Test period in FUTMINNA is an entire survival game. If you’re new, it feels like being thrown into a jungle with no map—only your courage (and maybe your GP). I learned this the hard way during my first test period.

My Story

It was test season, and aside from the normal tension and frustration, I wasn’t yet used to FUTMINNA’s system.

First, my phone was stolen. Yes, just like that. That’s how I learned... The hard way.

Rule No. 1: Don’t take your phone to school during this period unless you have someone trustworthy to keep it safe.

I was devastated and angry, but I still had to face the test. On my way in, I suddenly realized I had my small push-button phone in my pocket.

Rule No. 2: Always check your pockets for incriminating objects before entering the exam hall.

As if that wasn’t enough, when I got to the convocation square, I was asked to go back to the gate because I was wearing slippers instead of sandals or shoes. Imagine my frustration. That’s when I learned Rule No. 3: Always dress smart. FUTMINNA takes appearances seriously.

After some pleading, they allowed me through. But at the searching area, panic struck again—I still had the phone on me. Out of fear, I hid it under my shirt, tightening my belt over it. But the search official tapped my waist and found it instantly.

My heart sank. In my mind, I was already expelled: “This is it. I’m graduating from FUTMINNA at 100 level.”

But instead of trouble, the man looked at my face, saw my fear, and quietly handed me the phone. “Go and drop it on that table. Don’t make this mistake again.”

I was stunned. In a haze, I dropped the phone, completed the search, and finally entered the examination hall.

That day taught me lessons I’ll never forget.

Tips to Survive FUTMINNA Test Period

1. Protect your phone (or better, leave it at home).

Don’t risk it. Phones get stolen, and carrying one into the exam hall can put you in serious trouble.

2. Check your pockets before every test.

Even a simple object like a paper, pen, or small phone can cause suspicion. Avoid unnecessary drama.

3. Dress appropriately.

Sandals or shoes, neat outfit—nothing too casual. You’ll be taken more seriously and avoid unnecessary issues at the gate.

4. Stay calm under pressure.

The officials are humans too. If you make a mistake, honesty and composure might save you.

5. Plan ahead.

Don’t rush last minute. Give yourself time to prepare—mentally, academically, and physically—for tests.

Final Word

FUTMINNA test season is tough, but it doesn’t have to break you. With preparation, smart dressing, and a little wisdom, you’ll not only survive—you’ll succeed.

And if you ever find yourself in my shoes (literally, with slippers), remember: breathe, learn, and don’t repeat the mistake.
